LONDON part 1

i'm happy to say that i've arrived safely for more than a week in ENGLAND
and that i'm still surviving the loser weather here.
time really flies and i've already been here for a while.
a moment ago, there we were waving goodbyes and now,
here i am.

on board the plane.
already i've seen a couple of slurpy looking guys.
hahah.

while those in the plane slept soundly after take-off.
i had my own private little time in my little corner seat.
thanks to sarah, jasmine, aline, desiree, joohui, yating for this lovely gift.

reminiscing and it felt really good to know that i've got friends like you all (:
and i laughed heartily at those IC photos clipped in the pages.
hilarious. :D

joanne's [OPEN ON THE PLANE] present.
awww, so sweet.
we've actually wanted to do up a design together and send it to some person to do it for us.
and everytime i reminded jo about it, she was like
HUH still designing.
or HUH lets not do anymore, like so troublesome.
and then i forgot all about it.
THANKS A MILLION TO THIS LOVELY GIRL. (:

and you know, when we first talked about this, joanne told me her art was damn good.
and that maybe she should do one up for us.
i LAUGHED SO LOUD and i thought her art sucked crazy.
hahaha sorry jo.
but really, you're talented. (:
open a shop will you? i'll manage your shop.
that's a porcupine,hippo,crocodile,giraffe,koala and elephant.
and i'll wear it JO. bfva. (:

after lotsa meals and sleep on board, we finally set foot on this country infested with handsome guys.
hahaha.

sorry about her hair, she just woke up.

5am and it's so bright already.
in summer, there's longer daytime compared to nighttime.
the sky only starts to darken at 8.30 - 9pm.
and yeah it's cold.

my cousin on the left and her sister's boyfriend on the right.
fetched us and we made some rounds.
amazing historical buildings and their architecture's stupendous.
applause to the angmohs.

their shops, cafe and whatsoever are normally like these.
they start from the ground floor to the upper floors.
each building belongs to one shop.
there're few shopping centres not like singapore.
singapore neeeeeeds space doesn't she. hhaha.

single decked bendy bus!

double decked bus!

drove past westminster.
the ministers work there.

london looks realllly homey (:

CHINATOWN
but the chinese food here GENERALLY sucks.
expensive like crazy.
porridge's $12 sing.
good chinese food? mortgage your property to eat those everyday.

HOME SWEET HOME.
pretty huh.

backyard

kitchen
3 storeys

my mum falling asleep while unpacking.

living room's on the second floor. different right?
off for some grocery shopping.
and OH, doesn't the grocery store's carpark remind you of those western movies/dramas we watch?
trolleys are all out.

that woman was sleeping while standing i bet.

LOOK AT THE VARIETY OF BREAD.
1000 times more than that of spore's bread selection.
anyway grocery shopping here is so different.
you've got self check outs! which i totally love to scan the stuff myself.
and there's a huge variety of everything, be it milk, cheese, meat etc.
we drove down to take a look at my school the next day.
hell cold man.
not the temperature but the WIND is making it cold.
plus the miserable short drizzles.
student residence
apparently, rachel's room is in block L which is the block on the left.
mine's in block G, opposite hers, which is this.
this's the MCMILLIAN student village.
and just a short walk away, RIVER THAMES.
no matter how cold/miserable the weather can get.
westerners really know how to chill.
they just gather and sit around and have a cup of coffee with a sub in hand.
humungous looking dog.
very clumsy because its hair is covering its eyes.

2 very random photos i found:

lanyan cleaning up my laptop cooler with the chemical stuff.
she found it really amusing.
so she ended up doing it for me at home before i went to the airport.

joanne xiao.
i dont know how it ended up in my camera.
i didn't even see her taking a photo of herself.
rude right?
hahaha.
alright, more to come.
.
BRACE YOURSELVES.
for london part 2.
.
p.s rach and yilin's arriving TODAY! :)

back track part 1

well well, blogposts clearance.
haha. i've got lotsa photos moulding in my laptop so i'm clearing them bit by bit.
meanwhile i'm doing up my second home, england's post.
so bear with me. gotta filter up some unnecessary crap.

right so this happened the week before i left.
some relatives came over.
my house doesn't have THAT much space to accomodate all.
so some had to stay in a hotel.

we went over for a rest after shopping the whole day.
look my mum's back is aching.
haha.

this is the hotel above raffles city shopping centre?
used to be called swissotel if i'm not wrong.
they've changed the name to FAIRMONT. (:

see, even if you have the money to stay there.
doesn't mean you've got the class.
LOOK AT THEM.
tsk.

whisked my cousin off for comic book shopping at kinokuniya.
he's 16, done his Os and he's got A for english and english LITERATURE.
writer in the making,NOT.
hahaha he's coming over for fashion design.
you should see his sketches and designs.
OMG, like damn style.
he's promised to do up my wedding dress.
hahahh.

stupid old man.

look like a typical fashion designer right.
the hair.
the specs.
so so so not normal.
hahaha.

he bought his comics and we got back to the hotel to play with the camera.

then my KPO AUNTY joined in.
voluntarily kay.
she's the aunty that looks like me, okay not really look.
she's got a huge mole on her right cheek.
mine's on the left (:

wa, i cannot stand seeing my aunty joining in.
lol so weird.
she's nearing 50 i think.

more back tracks or if i'm not feeling lazy, england's post should be up soon-ish.
cheers!
